WOW! - what a difference it made!

I simply wiped my chain with a rag, then applied a slow stream of drops to the chain while pedaling backwards, then added a few more drops into the moving portions of the derailleur. I let it sit for a few minutes and then went for a ride. What an AMAZING difference it made. The chain was as quiet as the day I bought the bike. (That's really not an exaggeration!) I am super impressed! I didn't expect an eco-friendly product to be that good.

No more squeaking or catching

So glad I found this company in the same building where I work in Solana Beach! They gave me a sample and I immediately fixed my old jeep door – no more squeaking or catching. Then I took it home and let my roommates try it on everything they needed to fix. We all highly recommend!

Always in my tackle box when fishing in salt water

The problem with salt water is that it wears on all your metal things you use for fishing. In particular I always seem to be losing things like scissors or pliers to rust. So I spray these items before heading out on the water. At the end of the day, I quickly wipe them off then re-apply the spray again. Not only does it provide good rust protection, but it also provides lubrication like without the intense smell. I'm very happy with it!

Stroller Surprise​

Turns out keeping that stroller in the garage was a good idea, when we needed it again we just used Gear Hugger to clean it up and get it back in proper working order. We saved the stroller and the cash we would’ve spent on a new one.​

Stops Squeaks

The power lifegate on our 10-year old SUV was squeaking badly. I sprayed Gear Hugger on a rag and wiped it all over the part of the strut that glides inside the outer housing and the little rubber seal that makes direct contact with the strut. Not a squeak since.

I recently tried it out on my rusted bike and the results were unbelievable. It removed the years of built up rust very well and the application was a breeze. I really appreciated that it's eco-friendly too! I highly recommend for anyone and everyone.

Good for preventing as well as removing rust

The main intended use is to keep your bike chain and other moving parts well-lubricated and rust free. But you can also use this on other tools such as scissors or tools you use in your garden. If you are applying this to a tool that already has rust on it, I suggest letting it sit for about 10 minutes and then using an old toothbrush to scrub off some of the rust. It might take a few applications, but this product really does work. It's also plant-based, so you don't have to worry about using this around children since it's non-toxic.

Where has this product been all my life?

I took it on my last adventure to Vail this summer and used it for my bike. It passed my test and will become my go to solution for any gear that needs a little love.

WFH Necessity (office chair)

Due to COVID, I am now working from home 24/7, but my expensive office chair started to squeak from me being on it all the time - that and the fact that I've put on some extra COVID pounds haha! I never thought that I would be one to buy a product like this, but honestly I was so surprised at how many more things I use it for, that I'm super grateful I stumbled across it. My office chair thanks you, Gear Hugger!

Good Stuff

I was testing mini chainsaws and one had no oil system so you need to use spray lube. I figured this would be a perfect use for this Gear Hugger. I drizzled some on it and it held up great. I think it works good for truck door hinges and the hood latch and things like that. However it claims to be eco friendly so there is a benefit in that.

Surpassed my expectations – I will be getting this Product again!

This Bike Chain Lube exceeded my expectations in terms of performance. Initially, I was somewhat skeptical about its effectiveness, given that it's plant-based. However, after a quick cleaning my chain and applying this lube before my ride yesterday, I noticed a significant difference. With its eco-friendly formula, this is something I will be ordering again!

Kid Tested

We had a fantastic experience testing Gear Hugger in Papa’s workshop with all his tools, I love that it is safer than chemicals for kids to use/be around.
